Brexit and the EEA list The DfE has confirmed that the list of individuals sanctioned in EEA countries will no longer be active once we leave the EU in January 2021. Schools should use other methods to try to verify whether new employees have been sanctioned in another country.

COVID-19 23rd April 2020 - following consultation with the DfE we have produced an addendum to the GSWP - see here

COVID-19 17th April 2020 - The consortium is aware that schools still want and need safer recruitment training for key staff. We have adapted the education materials for virtual / online delivery and produced guidelines for all accredited trainers to ensure that the collaborative and interactive nature of the Safer Recruitment course is protected as much as possible. Trainers should have received their new password today (17th April 2020).

May 2019 - The updated Guidance for Safer Working Practice (2019) is available on the home page; please click here to download a version with the main changes highlighted

May 2019 - we have had a significant increase in requests for the SR training materials for the adult workforce - you can now download these from the Services page using your usual log in & password.

October 2018 - Those trainers who use the 'official' consortium refresher materials can now request the updated version - email us or use the contact form to request. The wider children's workforce version Oct 2018 has now been uploaded to the services page with a table of changes; although the training notes are not yet complete you should be able to make sense of the course based on the education training notes.

Trainers previously accredited by NCSL, CWDC or the Lucy Faithfull Foundation can still access these by registering with LFF - contact by email at [email protected] Once you have completed a registration form and submitted this along with a copy of your T4T certificate, you will be sent a copy of the Trainers' Code of Conduct to sign and the materials will be yours soon after.
